OrthoAR app for iPhone and iPad

OrthoAR offers medical graduates and health professionals the opportunity to explore augmented reality capabilities in every day clinical orthopedics. It allows the quick measurement of commonly used clinical parameters on patients, relying on surface anatomy landmarks.

Using the build-in viewfinder the clinical examiner can conveniently measure the lower limb mechanical axis, the knee range of motion and the tibial torsion, by simply selecting the relevant points on patient’s surface
anatomy. A short but complete educational description is given for each measurement

In the app’s tutorial, while step by step instructions are provided in real time when taking the actual measurement. Thus, OrthoAR also provides an excellent educational tool for medical graduates and residents, introducing the basics of lower limb mechanics in a realistic and informative way.
